Deb's Lake Conroe Real Estate & Stuff! : Grandest Opening I Know of is KROGER MARKETPLACE!

Grandest Opening I Know of is KROGER MARKETPLACE!

Thanks to my friends for stopping in to my "What Store Is This?" post and giving some guesses. I would never have guessed myself! When I first walked in it was like entering a city. Seriously! Along with their circulars with their specials they were handing out Maps! Maps are actually needed in this place.Kroger Marketplace 1097/145 Willis Texas

The Kroger Marketplace is the centerpiece of the new Sam Houston Town Center at the northwest corner of I-45 and FM 1097. Other businesses setting up shop include Walgreens, Little Caesar’s, Whataburger, Chase Bank, Schlotzsky’s, Burger King, Sport Clips, America Hair Works, Willis Cleaners and Tender Touch II Nails and Spa.

The new Kroger Marketplace at in Willis Texas is one of the most amazing stores I have ever been in. Their food areas are all set up as if you were shopping streets of Italy. Not only do they sell bread or tortillas but the ladies are all gathered around the ovens while baking everything fresh!Kroger Marketplace 1097/145 Willis Texas

Baked goods of all kinds, chickens and ribs and freshly made cheese balls all being made fresh with the aroma filling the air and tempting you to take the goodies homes.

So they've got you covered in the grocery department.

But wait! There is so much more! EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING can be found here! If you follow your map you can stroll past Live Music Playing in the store, to possibly the Furniture, or the HomeGoods, or the Wine selections!

THANK YOU KROGER MARKETPLACE! YOU ARE MY NEW FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP!

The big Krogers are to compete with the big Super Walmarts and Super Targets by selling other things besides just food.

Don't mean to see things you weren't trying to show :) but I see some real sanitation issues with the way that woman is lying on the shrimp :)  Kinda gross LOL

Mimi, good thing we all rinse it really well when we get it home! I had not put two and two together but at least they're hard shelled! lol It really is a wonderful store.

Donna, they are competing and they are out to win. They just may make it!

Deb-I would have never guessed that was the store. We have a Kroger here but not that big. Hope you are doing well my friend and are feeling better.

Looks like we may have some supermarket wars ahead. Super H.E.B., Super Walmart, Super Target and now Super Kroger. Each trying to encourage folks to come in and spend m o n e y.

I wish we had a Kroger Signature Store in Huntsville. I do like the little one... But a girl can dream, can't she?! :)))

Hi Deb, I wouldn't have guessed a Kroger either.  They have been around a long time.  This store looks wonderful.

Rain, rain, I"m praying for the wet kind of rain that falls out of the sky for all of you in Texas.  The slow, drenching, all day sort of rain.

Deb, last time I stopped at that store was maybe 10 years ago right after opening. It is amazing how huge it has become since that.
