In Texas if You Don't Like The Weather.....Wait 15 Minutes.

Texas is a world unto itself. We have every terrain imaginable from the Piney Woods to dessert to mountains to coastal land. Huntsville Texas is an enigma when it comes to climate. The old saying here is...If you don't like the weather just wait 15 minutes.

You can count on that phrase anytime you are talking about any of the seasons except for summer. Summer is guaranteed to be HOT. Period. Flip flop weather and shorts.ButterflyMorningTop

This time of year? I have three active closets with clothing to cover the gambit of "Climate Change". This morning I woke up to ice on my windshield. This moment it's 78 degrees and the sun is shining. And, 15 minutes from now it will probably be cooling quickly with a storm brewing. My closets consist of very heavy clothing, shoes, coats etc...P9644C.jpg PurpleHappinessShirt image by BrittyLM24

The next one has moderate clothing that is mostly used for layering. Sweaters, long sleeved T's and tennies and the other is for the 80 degree days! Flip flops, T's and capris.

I can tell you this...

When a client is looking for Real Estate in the Lake Livingston area in Texas, one of their main concerns is closet space!

I understand why!

So, if you don't like our weather...just wait 15 minutes!

Later in the rain, or snow, or scorching heat, or black of night....Deb

That is a fun, creative post. In Phoenix we only have two seasons --- summer and cool summer. (Actually, it gets colder than you would think in the winter mornings --- 30s.)

Deb

I have heard that saying before, and now I know what it means.

All my beat

I'd rather have that weather than 6 months of winter with 3 coat closets! Yup, I have 3 coat closets and all are full.

Hi Deb,

I lived with that saying for many years in Western New York. I know full well what it means as I am sure you do.

Hi Deb, Yep, I do the same!  First I layer the sweaters & blouses and jacket to go out in the morning,  By noon, I'm down to the blouse (on a day like today) and by late afternoon, I start adding the layers back on.  Today was a beautiful TEXAS day!!!   Very chilly this morning, by noon it was nice and warm, sun shining not a cloud in the sky.  By this evening, I put my jacket back on.  I think by Saturday we'll be back in the 60's all day long --- brrrrrrr.    :)

Deb, That's cute.  I dress in layers--usually four because Iam so COLD here in NY  I could definitely stand 15 minutes of sunlight :)

Its CRAZY Deb, but you have to love it.  Within one weeks time, you can experience all of the seasons.  LOL
